Thomas Rivers Comber

Thomas held property called 'Philpots' (or Barleylands) at West Hoathly, Sussex.
He was mentioned in his brother John's 'Will' of 1545. He was Overseer to brother William in 1556 and to Richard Norton (of Brighthelmstone) in 1563 ( Lewes A5.261, dated 16/9/1563, proved 1/8/1565). He occurs as a defaulter in South Malling manor Court 1538-1555. Named in lawsuit concerning Barleys alias Philpots in West Hoathly Chancery Proceedings 1616 (Ser II 255/30).
