Thomas & Elizabeth had nine children

1. John Underhill was baptised on 23^rd September 1562 in East Grinstead, Sussex (son of Thomas). (presume died as later child of same name)
2. Joan Underhill (Johane) was baptised on 7^th June 1564 in East Grinstead, Sussex.(Parents not shown and presume died as later child of same name)
3. Thomas Underhill was baptised on 15^th December 1566 in East Grinstead, Sussex. (son of Thomas & Elizabeth Undririll). He possibly married Ann Clifton on 10^th April 1599 in Lingfield, Surrey. Ann was buried 28^th December 1627 in Lingfield Surrey ('wife of Thomas of Frith' - no name given). Thomas & Ann had four children.
   1. Mary Underhill (Marie) was baptised on 29^th January 1600 in Lingfield, Surrey ('dau of Thomas of Frith')
   2. Thomas Underhill was baptised on 12^th December 1601 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of Thomas).
   3. Rachel Underhill (Rachell) was baptised on 13^th March 1603 in Lingfield, Surrey ('dau of Thomas of Frith')
   4. Francis Underhill was baptised on 29^th March 1604 in Lingfield, Surrey ('son of Thomas of Frith') . He probably married Jane Haselgrove on 8^th December 1634 in Crawley, Sussex, (license issued at Lewes on 6^th February and Francis shown from Horne, Surrey and Jane from Ifield with sureties by Robert Hunt of Ifield). Francis & Jane had two children.
      1. Anna Underhill was baptised on 29^th November 1635 in Lingfield, Surrey and she was buried there on 29^th December 1635 ('child of Francis')
      2. George Underhill was baptised on 31^st December 1637 in Lingfield, Surrey and he was buried there 22^nd January 1639 ('son of Francis').
4. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 22^nd April 1570 in East Grinstead, Sussex.(parents not shown). He was mentioned in his son Arthur's 'Will' of 1639 and was Executor. He was probably buried on 8^th June 1651 in Lingfield, Surrey. Arthur had maybe possibly eight children. (only father Arthur shown as parent for each)
   1. George Underhill was baptised on 21^st May 1601 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of Arthur). He was mentioned in his brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639 and was Executor. He possibly married Mary Botting on 13^th December 1625 in East Grinstead, Sussex. ( license issued at Lewes on 22^nd September with George shown as from Lingfield and Mary from East Grinstead with surety by Francis Goldsmith). George and Mary had possibly seven children (only father George shown as parent for each).
      1. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 1^st February 1627 in Lingfield, Surrey
      2. John Underhill was baptised on 21^st December 1628 in Lingfield, Surrey and was buried there 8^th March 1630 ('son of George').
      3. George Underhill was baptised on 19^th December 1630 in Lingfield, Surrey. He was mentioned in his Uncle Arthur's 'Will' of 1639
      4. Mercy Underhill (Mercie) was baptised on 30^th April 1633 in Lingfield, Surrey
      5. Mary Underhill (shown as Maria) was baptised on 7^th August 1636 in Lingfield, Surrey
      6. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 13^th May 1638 in Lingfield, Surrey. He married Mary. Arthur & Mary were also mentioned as living in Horne on 2^nd April 1690 and giving money to the poor (2 pence and 4 pence). Arthur & Mary had five children (only father Arthur shown as parent for each, except 'e')
         1. George Underhill was baptised on 5^th November 1667 in Lingfield, Surrey.
         2. William Underhill was baptised on 16^th April 1676 in Lingfield, Surrey and he possibly was buried there on 12^th February 1679 ('Son of Anthony- think an error as no Anthony can be found, and should be Arthur).
         3. William Underhill was baptised on 15^th August 1680 in Lingfield, Surrey.
         4. Mary Underhill was baptised on 3^th May 1685 in Lingfield, Surrey.
         5. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 14^th August 1687 in Horne, Surrey. (son of Arthur & Mary)
      7. Francis Underhill was baptised on 7^th April 1639 in Lingfield, Surrey and was buried there 15^th April 1639 ('son of George').
   2. Mary Underhill was baptised on 17^th April 1603 in Lingfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639 which also says she has two children.
   3. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 8^th December 1605 in Lingfield, Surrey. He married Anne Nelson on 20^th November 1634 in Crowhurst, Surrey (Anne from East Grinstead). Anne (Anna) was buried in Lingfield on 1^st October 1638 ('wife of Arthur of Crowhurst'). The death was also recorded in Crowhurst on that date as 'wife of Arthur', but no name given. Arthur left a 'Will' dated 26^th April 1639 and he was buried on 29^th April 1639 in Lingfield, Surrey. Arthur & Anna had two known children
      1. Ann Underhill was baptised on 29^th December 1635 in Crowhurst, Surrey. She was buried there on 1^stJanuary 1636 ('daughter of Arthur').
      2. John Underhill was baptised on 2^nd July 1637 in Crowhurst, Surrey and was buried on 10^th November 1639 in Lingfield, Surrey.('son of late Arthur of Crowhurst'). Mentioned in father's 'Will' of 1639
   4. Margaret Underhill was baptised on 13^th November 1608 in Lingfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639.
   5. Mercia Underhill was baptised on 28^th November 1611 in Lingfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639.
   6. Solomon Underhill (Solamon) was baptised on 14^th August 1614 in Lingfield, Surrey
   7. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 29^th September 1616 in Lingfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639.
   8. Thomas Underhill was born in about 1620 probably in Lingfield, Surrey. He was mentioned in his brother Arthur's 'Will' of 1639 as 'younger brother- under 21' .(He actually inherited property in Crowhurst & Godstone). He married Jane in about 1649. He left a 'Will' dated 27^th June 1689 (ref SW/23_714) which was proved on 13^th July 1695 so he presumably died in 1695. (However 'Will' refers to him being weak in 1689 so he may have died much earlier). Jane was mentioned in her husband's 'Will' of 1689 and she was probaly buried on 17^th March 1704 in Crowhurst, Surrey ( no name given, but shown as 'a widow'). Thomas & Jane had eight children (parents shown as Thomas & Jane except where indicated).
      1. Jane Underhill was baptised on 24^th February 1650 in Crowhurst, Surrey. She married Vallin Ryland in about 1675, possibly in Crowhurst, Surrey. Jane and Vallin were mentioned in her father's 'Will' of 1689.
      2. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 23^rd October 1650 in Crowhurst, Surrey. He was mentioned in his father's 'Will' of 1689. Arthur left a 'Will' dated 13^th March 1712 and he was buried on 23^rd June 1713 In Crowhurst, Surrey.
      3. John Underhill was baptised on 7^th December 1652 in Crowhurst, Surrey. He was mentioned in his father's 'Will' of 1689.
      4. Robert Underhill was baptised on 10^th June 1655 in Crowhurst, Surrey (son of Thomas). He was probably buried on 17^th April 1674 in Crowhurst, Surrey (as not mentioned in the 'Will').
      5. Thomas Underhill was baptised on 10^th August 1657 in Crowhurst, Surrey. Possibly was buried on 2^nd December 1673 in Lingfield, Surrey, (as not mentioned in the 'Will').
      6. Mary Underhill was baptised on 4^th April 1659 in Crowhurst, Surrey and was buried there on 11^th March 1661 ('daughter of Thomas & Jane').
      7. Mary Underhill was baptised on 9^th October 1662 in Crowhurst, Surrey (daughter of Thomas). She married Edward Alcock (or Ancock) in about 1685, possibly in Crowhurst, Surrey. Mary & Edward were mentioned in her father's 'Will' of 1689 and they had children (Edward, Jane, John, Thomas, George, Richard) all mentioned in Uncle Arthur's will of 1712 (John Thomas & George all being under 21).
      8. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 29^th April 1665 in Crowhurst, Surrey (daughter of Thomas). She was mentioned in her father's 'Will' of 1689.
5. John Underhill was baptised on 11^th January 1573 in East Grinstead, Sussex. He possibly married Rachel Newington on 23^rd October 1592 in East Grinstead, Sussex (Rachel was a widow). Rachel was buried on 9^th July 1638 in East Grinstead, Sussex ('wife of John'). John & Rachel had five children.
   1. Mary Underhill (Marie) was baptised on 10^th February 1594 in East Grinstead, Sussex. (no parents shown)
   2. Thomas Underhill was possibly baptised on 25^th May 1595 in East Grinstead.(no parents shown) He was buried there on 16^th January 1597 ('son of John') .
   3. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 30^th July 1598 in East Grinstead, Sussex (daughter of John).
   4. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 24^th May 1601 in East Grinstead, Sussex (son of John Undrell). He firstly married Jane Allen on 26^th May 1629 in Lewes (license issued at Lewes shows Arthur of Eastgrinsted, mercer with Jane of same, maiden and additional sureties by Edward Newington of same, yeoman ) Arthur & Jane had five children (i-v.). He possibly secondly married Mary Austin on 4^th August 1641 in East Grinstead (license issued at Lewes shows Arthur of Eastgrinsted, mercer, & Mary Awstin of Uckfield, widow with additional sureties by Thomas Piggot of Eastgrinsted, chaundler). Arthur & Mary had three children (vi-viii). Arthur & Mary possibly moved to Horne, Surrey where they are recorded as giving money to the poor on 1^st May 1659 (six pence each).
      1. Rachel Underhill was baptised on 14^th March 1630 in East Grinstead,Sussex, (mother shown as Joan).
      2. John Underhill was baptised on 11^th October 1631 in East Grinstead, Sussex, (mother shown as Joan). John was possibly buried on 19^th September 1704 in Lingfield, Surrey ('John of Frith). NOTE: It is assumed that this John is 'John Of Frith' - this may be incorrect and all children etc should be shown against another John. See Thomas- family ref 3 above.
         1. Anne Underhill (Anna) was baptised on 4^th November 1667 in Lingfield, Surrey (daughter of John of Frith).
         2. Sarah Underhill was baptised on 11^th June 1675 in Lingfield, Surrey (daughter of John of Frith).
         3. Susanna Underhill was baptised on 17^th October 1677 in Lingfield, Surrey (daughter of John of Frith. She was possibly buried there on 18^th July 1699 (Susanna daughter of John of Frith).
         4. Edward Underhill was buried on 27^th June 1699 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John of Frith).
         5. John Underhill was buried on 28^th December 1703 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John of Frith).
      3. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 29^th December 1633 in East Grinstead, Sussex, (mother shown as Joane).
      4. Faulkner Underhill was baptised on 20^th January 1636 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
      5. Mary Underhill was baptised on 23^rd June 1639 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
      6. Katherine Underhill was baptised on 5^th April 1642 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
      7. Thomas Underhill was baptised on 24^th September 1643 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
      8. Susanna Underhill was baptised on 2^nd February 1645 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
   5. John Underhill was baptised on 4^th November 1604 in East Grinstead, Sussex. (shown as son of John Undrell) . He was possibly buried on 8^th December 1674 in Lingfield, Surrey ('of Puttingden'). NOTE: It is assumed that this John is 'John Of Puttenden' - this may be incorrect and all children etc should be shown against another John. (There was also a Richard of Puttenden whose wife Mary was buried on 16th December 1702)
      1. John Underhill was baptised 13^th August 1635 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John) . He possibly married Elizabeth in about 1662. John was possibly buried on 7^th August 1682 in Lingfield, Surrey Elizabeth was mentioned in his brother Edward's 'Will' of 1693 in which she is shown as a 'sister' and widowed. Elizabeth was possibly buried on 27^th March 1704 in Lingfield, Surrey ('widow').
         1. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 17^th December 1663 in East Grinstead, Sussex (daughter of John & Elizabeth).
         2. Thomas Underhill was baptised on 7^th July 1665 in East Grinstead, Sussex (daughter of John & Elizabeth). He was mentioned in his uncle Edward's 'Will' of 1693. He was possibly mentioned in Nicholas Underhill 'Will' of 1705 as son of John Underhill. He possibly married Elizabeth who was buried on 8^th February 1708 in Lingfield, Surrey (' wife of Thomas senior'). Thomas was probably buried on 5^th June 1708 in Lingfield, Surrey ('Thomas senior'). They had children

            2. Susanna Underhill was baptised on 24^th November 1706 in Lingfield, Surrey and was buried there on 17^th March 1707 ('daughter of Thomas').
         3. John Underhill was baptised 11^th April 1670 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John). He was mentioned in his uncle Edward's 'Will' of 1693 as the main beneficiary and in which he had to maintain his mother Elizabeth for life (implying her husband had died). He was mentioned in Nicholas Underhill 'Will' of 1705 as kinsman John Underhill of Puttenden. He was mentioned in Arhur Underhill's 'Will' (see 4Hii above) of 1712- (John Underhill of Puttenden) and was a witness to the 'Will' and Overseer. He was mentioned in Uncle Arthur Underhill 'Will' of 1718 (see ii below). He married Susan (Susan also mentioned in Uncle Arthur Underhill 'Will' of 1718)
            1. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 16^th December 1702 in Lingfield, Surrey (dau of John of Puttenden). She was mentioned in great uncle Arthur Underhill 'Will' of 1718
            2. Susanna Underhill was baptised on 25^th February 1706 in Lingfield, Surrey (daughter of John) and she was buried there on 27^th February 1706 (' daughter of John').
            3. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 4^th May 1708 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John). He was mentioned in great uncle Arthur Underhill 'Will' of 1718 (see 5 E ii below).
            4. Nicholas Underhill was baptised on 8^th December 1709 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John). He was mentioned in great uncle Arthur Underhill 'Will' of 1718 (see 5 E ii below).
            5. John Underhill was buried on 30^th January 1710 in Lingfield, Surrey (son of John)
         4. Catherine Underhill was born in about 1672. She was mentioned in her Uncle Edward's 'Will' of 1693. She was mentioned in Nicholas Underhill 'Will' of 1705 as sister of John Underhill of Puttenden.
      2. Arthur Underhill was baptised on 1^st October 1638 in Lingfield, Surrey. He was mentioned in his brother Edward's 'Will' of 1693. Arthur left a 'Will' dated 25^th February 1718 and he was buried on 20^th March 1719 in Lingfield, Surrey.
      3. Mary Underhill was baptised on 10^th April 1641 in Lingfield, Surrey. She possibly married Edward Stanford on 18^th November 1667 in Lingfield, Surrey. Mary & Edward were mentioned in her brother Edward's 'Will' of 1693. Mary & Edward had five children John, Mary, Edward, Thomas, Susanna all of whom were mentioned in Uncle Edward's Will of 1693 (Thomas & Susanna both being under 21).
      4. Edward Underhill was possibly born around 1643. He left a 'Will' which was dated 9^th September 1693 and he was buried on 1^st February 1700 in Lingfield, Surrey ('Edward of Puttenden').
      5. Mercy Underhill was possibly born around 1645. She was mentioned in her brother Edward's 'Will' of 1693. She married a Mr Bawcombe and had at least one child John who was mentioned in Uncle Edward's 'Will' of 1693.
6. Joan Underhill (Johane) was baptised on 11^th January 1573 in East Grinstead, Sussex.
7. Elizabeth Underhill was baptised on 23^rd January 1574 in East Grinstead, Sussex (no parents shown).
8. Soloman Underhill (Saloman Undrill) was baptised on 14^th August 1576 in East Grinstead, Sussex (no parents shown) and he was buried there on 13^th October 1576.('son of Thomas Underill')
