William Tidey & Mary Feldwick were one of my 6^th generation ancestors.

William Tidey was baptised on 23^rd February 1755 in Crowhurst, Surrey. He was the son of Henry Tidey & Sarah Martin. He married firstly Mary Feldwick on 12^th October 1778 in Crowhurst, Surrey (shown as Tyde- banns published 13^th, 20^th & 27^th September). He was mentioned in William Feldwick's 'Will' of 1807 as son in law. He probably married secondly Elizabeth Simmons (Symons) on 6^th October 1800 in Limpsfield, Surrey, but Elizabeth was probably buried on 4^th April 1801. He possibly married thirdly Ann (or this may be a seperate William). William was buried on 5^th April 1818 in Limpsfield, Surrey ('aged 63 years').

Mary Feldwick was baptised on 3^rd July 1763 in Crowhurst, Surrey and was the daughter of William Feldwick & Ann Walker. She was mentioned in her father William Feldwick's 'Will' of 1807 as Mary Tidy, deceased and in her bother Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830 as Mary Tidy, deceased. Mary was probably buried on 28^th March 1799 in Crowhurst, Surrey.

Mary Tidey was born on 28^th November and was baptised on 5^th December 1778 in Limpsfield, Surrey. She was buried there on 8^th December 1778.('daughter of William & Mary, aged 10 days').
Sarah Tidey was born on 30^th March and was baptised on 16^th April 1780 in Limpsfield, Surrey.
Ann Tidey was born on 19^th May and was baptised on 25^th May 1783 in Limpsfield, Surrey.
Mary Tidey was born on 2^nd April and was baptised on 24^th April 1785 in Limpsfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her uncle Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830. She married William Brown. Details of William Brown & Mary Tidey are shown separately as they are direct ancestors.
Jane Tidey was born on 3^rd August and was baptised on 12^th August 1787 in Limpsfield, Surrey. She was mentioned in her uncle Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830.
William Tidey was born on 7^th October and was baptised on 18^th October 1789 in Limpsfield, Surrey. He was buried there on 26^th January 1802, (aged 12).
John Tidey was born on 2^nd April and was baptised on 15^th April 1792 in Limpsfield, Surrey. He was mentioned in his uncle Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830.
Elizabeth Tidey was born on 3^rd October and was baptised on 19^th October 1794 in Limpsfield, Surrey. She was buried there on 11^th May 1795 ('daughter of William & Mary, aged 7 mnths).
George Tidey was born on 21^st December 1796 and was baptised on 22^nd January 1797 in Limpsfield, Surrey.He was mentioned in his uncle Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830.
Judith Tidey was born on 27^th December 1798 and was baptised on 20^th January 1799 in Limpsfield, Surrey. She was buried there on 25^th April 1819 ('aged 20- dau of William Tiday')
Henry Tidey was born on 10^th December 1803 and was baptised on 1^st January 1804 in Limpsfield, Surrey.
Daniel Tidey was born on 16^th January and was baptised on 16^th February 1812 in Limpsfield, Surrey. (Source is IGI & unconfirmed).

The Mary Feldwick is very likely to be the correct Mary, but initially I had doubts. This is because she would be only aged 15 year 4 months at marriage and 14 years 8 months when she became pregnant and although always possible this was an unlikely situation. However no other Mary's have been identified that were really suitable. More importantly Mary is mentioned in her father William Feldwick's 'Will' of 1809 as Mary Tidy, deceased, and in her brother Joseph Feldwick's 'Will' of 1830 as Mary Tidy, deceased . For the period 1749 - 1763 (age at marriage of 15 to age 50 at birth of youngest child (or earlier death)), there was one Mary Feldwick born in Crowhurst, none were born in the adjacent parishes and three possible others were born in the surrounding parishes.

2. 20/10/1762 in Balcombe daughter of William & Mary
3. 7/01/1759 in Balcombe daughter of James . She maybe possibly married William Rosar on 22nd October 1782 in Lindfield, Sussex.
4. 30/11/1756 in West Hoathly daughter of William & Anne but buried on 18/05/1757 in West Hoathly
There were numerous differant spellings of "Tidey" in the parish registers eg Tidy,Tidye, Tide, Tieday, Tyddye, Tyde, Tydey, Tydie, Tydy, Tydye,Tyday, Tydee.
For the period 1752 - 1762 (age at marriage of 16 to age 60 at birth of youngest child), there was one William Tidey born in Crowhurst, none were born in the adjacent parishes and one possible other born in the surrounding parishes. It is probable that the identified William is the correct one

The first ten children were shown born to William & Mary. In the period 1771-1778, (earliest age at marriage of 16 to year of birth of first child), only two marriages of a William has been identified. The one to Mary Feldwick is very likely to be correct as the other one in 1775 to Amy Stedman showed William as a widower which would not be possible.
Uncle Joseph Feldwick's will also mention neice Elizabeth Tidy, but she had apparently died.It may refer to one of the earlier daughters (Ann or Sarah)
