Reuben had seven children.

1. Elizabeth Colegate was baptised on 1^st August 1688 in Hadlow, Kent.
2. Stephen Colegate was baptised on 16^th December 1689 in Hadlow, Kent. He married Elizabeth Leader on 20^th October 1716 in Speldhurst, Kent by license ('Stephen shown of Hadlow'). Elizabeth was possibly buried on 18^th March 1747 in Hadlow, Kent ('married). (Source is Family Search and is unconfirmed). Stephen & Elizabeth had two children.
   1. Reuben Colegate was baptised on 30^th October 1717 in Hadlow, Kent ('son of Stephen').
   2. Stephen Colegate was baptised on 6^th June 1728 in Hadlow, Kent ('son of Stephen'). He possibly had a child.
      1. Stephen Colegate was born in about 1750 possibly in Hadlow, Kent (derived as no birth record found and may be son of a brother). He married Ann Rixon on 31^st December 1776 in Hadlow, Kent (by license). Anne was possibly buried on 15^th September 1800 in Hadlow, Kent and Stephen was possibly buried there on 30^th January 1801. (Source is Family Search and is unconfirmed). Stephen & Ann possibly had a child
         1. Stephen Colegate was born in about 1780 possibly in Hadlow, Kent (derived as no birth record found and may be son of a brother). He married Elizabeth Powell on 2^nd October 1803 in Barming, Kent ('Elizabeth was a widow'). Stephen & Elizabeth had six children in West Peckham, Kent - Note: Hadlow is about 1.5 miles from West Peckham (James (1804), William (1808), Jane (1810), Elizabeth (1812), Stephen (1813), Sarah ( 1816). Sarah was an ancestor of Lynn Girardeau (ohlynn@comcast.net)
3. Rebecca Colegate was baptised on 21^st June 1691 in Hadlow, Kent. She married John Dungate on 19^th May 1715 at St Bride's, London (Rebecca shown as of Hadlow, Kent and John as of East Grinstead). John was the son of Henry Dungate, the son of Joseph Dungate & Sarah Heasman (family ref 4 B) and details of the children are shown there.
4. Mary Colegate was baptised on 21^st March 1693 in Hadlow, Kent.
5. Reuben Colegate was baptised on 21^st May 1695 in Hadlow, Kent.
6. John Colegate was baptised on 28^th August 1696 in Hadlow, Kent.
7. George Colegate was baptised on 31^st July 1698 in Hadlow, Kent.
