John Blundell & Agnes Dovell were one of my 13th generation ancestors.

Key Dates:

John Blundell was born about 1535, probably in Worth, Sussex (derived as no birth records exist). He was the son of John Blundell & Joan. John probably married firstly Joan Swane on 18th February 1559 in Worth, Sussex (but it could have been his father). Joan was probably buried on 5th March 1574 in Worth, Sussex (Johan). John married secondly Agnes Dovell on 13th June 1575 in Worth, Sussex (John shown as Blondle). John was probably buried on 12th September 1596 in East Grinstead, Sussex.

Agnes Dovell's birth details are not known.

  1. Joan Blundell (Johan) was baptised on 31st January 1561 in Worth, Sussex (dau of John junior & Johan).
  2. Edward Blundell was baptised on 13th November 1566 in Worth, Sussex (son of John the younger). Edward was buried on 28th July 1576 in Worth, Sussex ('son of John the youngest & Joan').
  3. William Blundell was baptised on 20th February 1569 in Worth, Sussex (son of John the younger) and was buried on there on 22nd July 1576 (son of John the youngest).
  4. Roger Blundell (Blundle) was baptised on 21st March 1572 in Worth, Sussex (son of John the youngest).
  5. John Blundell was buried on 14th December 1573 in Worth, Sussex (son of John Blundle ye youngest).
  6. William Blundell was born in about 1577 possibly in Worth, Sussex. He was mentioned in his father's Will (as youngest son) and inherited "Lower Gibbs"- see Archives. He married Agnes. Details of William Blundell & Agnes are shown separately as they are direct ancestors.
  7. Martha Blundell was buried on 4th June 1578 in Worth, Sussex ('dau of John the youngest & Agnes').
  8. Peter Blundell was baptised on 11th February 1582 in East Grinstead, Sussex (no parents shown). Peter was buried on 25th January 1585 in Worth, Sussex (son of John).
